Control your intercom via smartphone: with the Gira DCS (short for door communication system) mobile app, you can talk to your visitors and even open the door remotely. How that works? Gira DCS mobile ensures a secure line of communication based on a personal code or biometric identification of facial features or fingerprints. The app is available for iOS and Android.

You’re not home? No problem: thanks to DCS mobile, you’ll receive a notification on your smartphone anytime the bell rings. You’d like to check what’s been happening at your entrance? Just take a look at the stored images: as soon as someone pushes the call button, up to 200 images will be stored by a customisable serial recording. A highly encrypted portal solution – in combination with the DCS IP gateway – protects your personal data from unauthorised users whenever you access the door intercom from afar.

The new feature allows you to activate a multi account via in-app purchase, if needed. This proves convenient when you want to manage additional DCS IP gateways with your account in one app – for a secondary residence, holiday home, or office space, among others. These functions are available as a monthly or yearly subscription billed via Apple or Google.

You can also assign a specific ringtone to each building – and thus know immediately at which door your visitors are waiting.

Thus far, you had to enter a PIN code to open your front door remotely. This now works via facial or fingerprint recognition as well. The Gira DCS mobile app thereby uses the biometric functions of your smartphone’s security features: if the doorbell rings, the biometric authentication system identifies your face or fingerprint so that you can open the door quickly and safely.
