That’s why we have developed the modular Gira System 55: all components of the Gira design lines have uniform measurements of 55 x 55 mm. This includes both switches and socket outlets, along with other smart devices. You can thus freely combine or exchange frame variants in all kinds of colours, shapes, and materials.

This allows you to retrofit socket outlets fast and easy, without tearing walls open. You can integrate up to eight outlets into the profile – or add other functional inserts such as the Gira IP flush-mounted radio.

Surface-mounted solutions are ideal for garages or basements, as they can be mounted without tearing walls open. If you’d like to retrofit socket outlets in your home, you can choose between three design lines: Gira E2, Gira Studio, and Gira Standard 55.

Gira socket outlets marked by the label "Safety Plus" have an integrated protection device called "Shutter". This smart device shuts the outlet’s power connection until a plug is inserted to prevent accidental contact.
